PETA makes people who truly care about animals look like idiots and I wish they would go away. They are nothing but terrorists who support other terrorists (like ALF), hypocrites and puppy killers. They have no real understanding of animals, no respect for people, and no justification for existing.
Exactly, Noelegy. I'm actually surprised that this post has been up for as long as it has without ten people chiming in in digust about what a waste this is. No matter how often people are told that things like this are for charity, and usually they are, there's always some mention of it being "a waste". The second most popular comment is usually something along the lines of "instant heart attack" or "this is why people are obese".
I love the smell of petrol and always have, as well as the smell of tire rubber. It's probably why I'm such a gearhead now and ended up marrying one.
On this list, I like it all, except I would trade baby smell for puppy smell, party poppers for a new puzzle book smell, and roses for acetone. Weird, but hey... ya like what ya like.
I'm all for people doing whatever they want to celebrate their marriage, so on one hand, I say, great, if it's something you wanted to in order to lighten things up, that's your business. That doesn't mean that I don't think it's utterly tacky.
pwscott and Lady Helena Handbasket...count me in on that. I usually got a bit of rum or brandy. My husband got brandy. We lived. But yeah, if I had kids, I'd be drinking the alcohol myself. ;)
But they aren't on my side, nor are they my people. If a terrorist wants to tattoo himself with the names of his fallen comrades, he's welcome to do so, but I only celebrate those that aren't out to kill me or my people. :)
Joe...Why change it for "retards", as you so eloquently put it? What is the point, because it's not even "dumbing it down". I don't think it's crying wolf to find this annoying and have to wonder why you would defend it so rabidly. I'm not exactly taking to the streets with placards or boycotting CBeebies. It's just annoying and stupid that they would do this at all, no matter who it's aimed at.The changes that have taken place put it into the category of "practically unrecognizable", which is far more extreme than the changes that have already taken place over generations.
