People really enjoy puffing themselves up and taking offense at anything. I remember all of these commercials and found them either to be silly or funny.
I agree with the gist of what you are saying, VGD, though I have to say this - sometimes, those who "rise above" this very natural way of being, take it way too far. Don't get me wrong, I believe that all animals deserve compassion and if we are going to eat them, they should die as humanely as possible and not be wasted. However, the importance of that animal should never override the welfare of a human.
Noelegy, I always thought King of the Hill was East or Central Texas as well. They seem to reference that general area, so yeah, it can't be East Texas. Not only because of the trees, but if I recall correctly (been a while since I watched it), aren't they a short drive from San Antonio?
The American alligator's tail makes for one of the tastiest meals ever. Luckily, it's okay to hunt them now, as they went from endangered to so numerous that dogs and joggers were constantly going missing.
That said, I think it's wonderful that this croc got a second chance. I'm sure that all his croc friends will dig his new look.
It's a shame that we don't have a system in place to make people think twice about filing stupid lawsuits that waste money and valuable time. It would certainly cut down on this sort of idiocy. All of these were ridiculous, and you hear of more and more every day.
darwin, there are people in some parts of England that still eat hedgehog. Just sayin'. It's one of those peasant foods of old. While I am not saying that they couldn't evolve or anything like that, I am more inclined to think that he just has some issues and wouldn't have gone far in the wild.
Oh dear.

It is a pretty cool idea. Now I know what to do with that big can of bacon fat!
He is adorable, though.
