Billy's Comments

As a child, whenever we travelled and I got car sick (which was actually just about every time we travelled), my dad would pull over to a gas station and buy me a warm (not refrigerated) Dr P. Which, of course, made me sick and I would throw up.
After a while I'd:
A. Stop telling Dad I was sick.
B. Get sick at the very mention of Dr Pepper. Even today, 40 years later.
Sorry, gotta go...

I remember seeing ads in the backs of National Lampoon during the 70s for the BoneFone -- similar, if not the same, technology. Maybe they'll be coming out with digital 8-track cassettes next.

About 30 years ago, a friend of mine got a birthday card that had a strip in it that said "Happy Birthday" when you ran your thumbnail along it.

In Athens GA there used to be a General Time clock factory. The girls who painted the radium dots on the clock faces were told to lick their brushes to make the point sharper for better detail. After the factory closed, it was declared a toxic waste site.
