during the prohibition, of course. He was later pardoned and absorbed into the military black operations scene because of his genius with electronics. What a freaking story that guys life was.

No, unfortunately my great grand papa died a year before I was born, and up until that, was estranged from the family after he was caught smuggling liquor into the US. Apparently, he burst through the door, grabbed his shotgun, screamed "They're coming to get me May (great grandma)" and ran out of the house... contact was sparse after that... incident.

D.D. - The innumerable amount of formal fallacies in your argument are so many that I cannot even begin to define which non sequiturs are in use.

Some of what big pharm is about is totally screwed up. My great grandfather was Alfred M. Hubbard (Google him some time), so I trust the government about as far as I can spit them from my mouth. But your statements imply that cocaine is just as good, if not better than a medication doctors in America give their patients. What proof do you have of this?

1. Are you implying that cocaine would be a better choice for kids with emotional instability? Do South American drug lords have the right to compete on the global market for patients? Further, is big pharm to blame for school shootings? Do you at least have a correlation study (which you later state are government propaganda, btw) to support this?

2. Are the methods employed by drug lords morally superior to pharmaceutical companies in the U.S.A.? Really? Are detailed descriptions of mass torture, murder, corruption, rape, terrorism, abduction, slavery (etc.) actually lies upheld by "the man" to keep down cocaine saints who actually weave teddy bears for orphans? Blind orphans with mobility impairments?

3. Are you a troll who is attempting to sideline a story about a unique smuggling method in order to push an uninformed, illogical, and mostly psychotic agenda because in reality you wish you could roll in a bed of powder everyday?

It seems that the neatorama hate squad are out in their flashy attire today. The man is certainly more than a touch eccentric, but you are all a bit damn quick to jump to the conclusion that he is suffering from a disorder.

Many highly intelligent people are flighty and strange. I had a brilliant electronic music instructor who paced like a crazy person when he lectured. He'd bob up and down, play with his hair, act generally hyper and strange. By the end of the class, he'd literally be dusted head-to-toe in chalk.

It bothered people. But whatever. He was damn brilliant. I think it's the same with Mr. Stroll. Quit trying to diagnose him and actually listen to what he's saying.

Johhny: True. A fool and his money are soon parted. If the person is dumb enough to accept the first offer, the company is legally protected. And, because the company is willing to give a higher amount upon being discovered, it is not a "scam" in the traditional sense.

I recognize that they are a business, and this is just their way of turning the highest amount of profit that they can get. It's still morally reprehensible to be the guy standing there waiting to part fools from their money. It's an intellectual version of playing tag with the kid that has a broken leg. And karma is a bitch. So I'm glad for people like Rob who show unwitting people that they can't trust these types of deals.

I wouldn't have had to worry about my gaming console ever again if I assaulted my mother over it, as my father would have made sure I was a quadriplegic in about 2.5 seconds after hearing the news. Seriously... he would have skinned me alive. And he would have been the first of numerous people to dole out such punishment.

My brother and I made my mother cry by just being mean little nasties once (and only once) when we were young teenagers. After two hours of being yelled at by my father, we went to the house and apologized profusely. My father's voice was so booming there were jokes about how he could shake the urine from bladders by focusing the sound-waves.
I got up the next day at 5 am to go to my martial arts instructors house for training. He too had found out about it, and when I got there, he was standing outside with his head gear on. 2 hours of full-contact sparring. His punches and kicks rained down especially hard that day. The next day was Wednesday... youth group. Pastor lectured my brother and I for an hour... and the list goes on.

Guys, this is waaaay more common than you would actually think. I worked for a T-mobile call center for about 8 months, and I can tell you some horror stories...

There was this one guy in particular who called in because his daughter had racked up $5,000 in instant messaging charges because she was secretly sending texts to her friends in Europe. Lots of them.

He literally wept when I told him that my manager said had to pay it all or we would send him to collections. He had been a customer with us for about 12 years and this was the first mistake he had ever made. It wasn't long after that I decided I was through with the soul-sucking lifestyle of a call center.

oh, the last sentence in the first paragraph got deleted. Fundamentalists are crazy in their viewpoint that "saving the planet" is worth starving 1/3 of the planet. Never mind that if we decide to cut out 2 billion people from the food supply that the world will most likely begin to see horrific violence (of world-ending proportions) due to contending over food and water supply. No biggie.

Mankind MAY see health and environmental impacts stemming from the long-term use of strong broad-leaf poisons and pesticides, as well as (and especially) ammonia-based fertilizers which are currently the only plausible and well-researched ways to sustain global GM grain production.
The problem is that fundamentalists are fastidiously crazy in their viewpoint that starving 1/3 of the population

We do need to work to improve our current industrialized models to attain a more sustainable long-term farming practice. The contender to synthetic fertilizer is the introduction of mycorhhizal growth and beneficial bacteria into industrialized farming (see Paul Stamets). However, we may be in the real position where synthetics are the only viable option, and that's all there is to it. Sad, but true.

This technology is neither inherently good or bad. It's just a tool. It's great for urban folks who own working breed dogs who need more exercise than owners can provide by walking. That said, this technology cannot altogether replace "the walk", which is vital to the psychological health and development of the animal and owner. Walks establish owner leadership, pack bonding, social health, etc.

Sadly, many pet owners never understand that dogs are complex psychological beings (albeit totally different than humans) with needs that have to be met in order to be healthy, much less be happy and live a long, full life.

If we look at the way people behave, especially concerning religious values, we start to see an emerging cycle throughout history. People, whether we like it or not, are in pretty constant need of leadership, control, order, and belief in something that comforts them (i.e. - I am living in a moral way and that will keep me from damnation). Then, Godly individuals like Christ come along, reshape society, and a lot of good comes of it (like not killing each other for sinning). Time passes, people memorialize their teachings, and fall into the same trappings as before. The tricky part is that when this happens, a substantial portion of individuals come out and scream about how religious philosophy is a bunch of hocus pocus bent on controlling people, and how we should just do away with it all in order to benefit the greater humanity. Which is a total freaking joke, because you are raging against a pretty benign philosophy. Shut up and quit reversing cause and effect. Stupid people have, and always will be, the actual problem.
