I'd sure like to see him pedal that beast on anything but flat ground. He'd look so cool pushing it up a hill!

That is a pretty cool looking bike though. And several of the bikes found on the AtomicZombie site are very well done.

That 3,100 by 1,700 ft figure can't be correct; the word isn't proportioned correctly for those dimensions. I did some quick figuring from the image, and it looks like it is the proper width to height ratio for the individual letters. If those figures are correct for the individual letters, adding them up along with the spaces makes a word 13,720 feet long and 3,100 feet high.

I just found the spot on Google Earth (it's pretty easy to find, once you've got Smithville in view) and measured it; it is indeed 13,720 feet long and 3,100 feet high. Guess they really do do things big in Texas.

The leftmost did not laugh

He did at the beginning and a couple of other times, but was mostly interested in his fingers. Just goes to show that he is his own man. Truly an individual.

I don't see how someone could find that video to be "creepy"; it's just plain cute! Anyone who has had kids knows that there are times that the simplest silly things will set off a giggle attack. I remember my daughter getting the giggles once from the sound of a piece of paper getting ripped. When it happens, you can't help but smile.

A newborn baby won't smile or react to much of anything you do for them, but while they sleep they will smile and giggle pretty regularly; gotta wonder what they're dreaming about!

Thanks, yayo, for the laughs!

Rats; no clues in the file names. Just what-is-this-1.jpg and what-is-this-2.jpg. (I can't be the only one that checked, can I?)

I wish I had a clue as to what either of those gadgets are — sure would like to have one of those T-shirts! — but haven't a clue. I was thinking that #1 might be some kind of tool to straddle the top of a chimney or narrow well, and a chain link would slip through the slot in the middle to keep it and whatever is at the end from dropping down inside. Wild guess there.

Looks like someone had a little too much money & time on hand ;o)

That is pretty slick! Wonder if they got it all in one take... I doubt you could do that with US coins. Maybe with nickels, but that wouldn't be quite as impressive as the Brits with their 1 pound coins!

Seems to me they cheated a bit to get the 10K though; did the 10k include the stacked coins that served as ramps for the other coins?

... when every song sounded blurry after the first week of use...

Not if you used the right tapes. I have some tapes that I recorded from LP's in the early 80's, and they still sound decent. Not as good as they once did, but not bad either.

Back in the day, a good stereo shop would have a piece of testing equipment that would test the frequency response of a given tape in a given deck. When you bought a deck they'd run different grades & brands of tapes through a tape deck & give you a printed graph of each. I think I still have some graphs from my old Pioneer CTF-750; it was the Maxell chrome tapes that worked best for me.

Moller has been gnawing on the flying car bone since the mid-70's. The M400 has been in development for a good two decades, and according to MythBusters, has consumed about $200 million in investment capital. Which leads to Moller being investigated by the SEC for fraud; he would take "non-refundable deposits" from potential buyers, but has never delivered a single working unit that lives up to his claims.

Guess you could call him a really good salesman.

I visited Africa (Cameroon) a few years back, and tasting the bananas & other fruits there has spoiled me for life. The bananas we get here in the States taste like cardboard by comparison. And the pineapple...

$158 for that tacky looking outfit? I could do that for under $50.

I think those commercials are hilarious. Even funnier is all the PC users who are somehow put off by them. "Preying on the ignorant"? Please. It's a commercial.

What I find the funniest is that I probably look more like the PC guy, but have been using Macs since 1993. And likely will be for a long time to come.
