We've already got technology to to transdermal vaccines using air propulsion systems for cats. No needles, so no risk of contamination in countries with less than ideal medical services. Plus not painful.
My high school vetted our graduation speeches before we were allowed to give them. I think one guy vetted a fake speech and changed it for the actual graduation. They made a big stink about not giving him his diploma, but eventually they gave in and gave it to him.
I can't stand waking up before dawn. It doesn't matter how much sleep I get, if I wake up and it's still dark out, I will be exhausted.
I've heard it recommended that they switch the school starting times for elementary and high schools, because high schoolers need the time sleeping in.
Has anyone ever TRIED to find a breeder for a small companion animal (ie not dog or cat)? Because they are few and far between, and certainly can't keep up with the demand that would result from banning sales in pet stores.
I like the waiting period idea mentioned above, as well as cracking down on puppy mills and the specific pet stores that support them.
Awesome for the guy that found it. I always hold out hope that if I sell something that turns out to be millions, the person who bought it from me will come back and write me a check for $1000. Nearly nothing to them, and would be a big consolation to me in my forehead slapping "I had no idea they were worth that much!" moment. But still, all rights to the buyer, cool for him.
I'm curious if it works after sex. I think a lot of the women in Africa needing HIV prevention are rape victims, and I doubt they'd put it on as part of their daily routine just in case. Also, would putting it on before delivery decrease the chance of the newborn becoming infected? That could be a huge benefit.
54% may not seem like much, and it's certainly not enough if you have the power to insist on a condom, but it is a step in the right direction.
I could never try cave diving. I like SCUBA diving, but being in a cave with no access to a surface and needing perfect timing to deal with tides, not to mention you don't know how deep you'll be going... too scary for me.
