Unfortunately my memory is a little fuzzy because schoolwork is taking up all my concentration, but I recently saw an incident where... uh... someone was, I think, insulting McCain supporters, and McCain mentioned it and then proudly declared, "Well I agree!" There was a moment of silence and then he started stuttering and babbling until he started a new sentence over in an attempt to fix the fact that he accidentally just insulted his own supporters.

Now maybe this is just me, but... well, y'know how world leaders will sometimes come over and chill with the president and drink tea and shoot things and play golf and such? Yeah... A man who makes blunders like that is not the kind of president I want to be representing me in front of other world leaders. We are disliked enough. There is no room for that kind of mistake.

Um. Age restrictions on these kinds of events, anyone??

...My best was .31, and I'm only 19. I don't think it has much to do with age. I am, however, on a laptop (using the mouse button, not the touchpad, since the touchpad likes to not work a lot). I'm gonna pretend that's the reason. Boy am I embarrassed...

While I totally disagree with the premise of the vest, I've gotta stick up for bicyclists here. Yeah, I am one, but I also know the ones you're talking about, and- at least where I come from- the demographic of bike riders who run red lights and stop signs is very small and composed largely of idiot 13 year olds who don't understand the concept of mortality.

Funny, yeah, but to a point. I really didn't find it funny when he knocked that golfer into the pond, for example. I just stopped watching at that point.

A bit behind the times, aren't they? Mikey's been around for a while. Think of all the people he must have infected with his satanic ideas in the meantime. Clearly someone hasn't been doing his job.

Wow, that was a lot creepier than I thought it would be. Sing for their supper? No wonder people were afraid to speak up.

Unfortunately, it's the truth. Not only are we feeding these people to allow them to grow up under extremely harsh conditions, but we may in fact be making the root problem worse, too. I don't remember where I read it, but it makes sense: as we increase aid to Africa, we have to assume that more people are surviving to adulthood, which means more people are requiring more resources. These resources simply aren't there to begin with, and effectively adding to the population is going to drain the limited resources that the environment has, to begin with. The land is dead. It needs time to heal, not more people desperate for every drop of nutrients they can get from it.

Unfortunately, the most "practical" solution would be to effectively evacuate large parts of Africa... which is so incredibly impossible and impractical that it leaves me feeling quite helpless.

The only things on that list I would consider eating are those pizza cheese sticks and the "Italian" dunking sticks or whatever. Thank god for bagged lunches.
