There is no problem here, but Africa has a pretty bad. If only the Catholic priests would get their act together and start promoting condom use and not filling the population with religious BS. Problem is, most of the kids die from starvation or born with AIDS. As for North America, food is over produced, but wasted to a high degree to keep the economy steady. Population has nothing to do with it, it's incompetence as running a system based on greed and consumerism over humanity, but people are just fine and dandy with the way things are. Sure, I think the anti-choice jokers are full of themselves too. The problem right now isn't about the quantity of life, it's about the quality of life.
