As someone else pointed out, this is more interesting (and entertaining) then people standing around with signs. Clever.
Plus any protest which doesn't block traffic can't be all bad.

Replacing the text with "Fail" would update these to the 21st century.

When I taught preschool we did a unit on safety. I wanted the kids to take danger seriously- but didn't want to frighten them with gruesome pictures or anecdotes. My solution was a Humpty Dumpty cartoon character who did reckless things and ended up cracked, flattened, poached, etc... He was a hit!

Actually I've had trouble enjoying shrimp and other crustaceans for several years because I keep thinking Gross! It's a bug!

I have nightmares like that.
Maybe I should have gone into advertising.

When I went to jr. high (early 1980s) I remember some girls would write graffiti in the bathroom stalls with blood I always figured it was that kind of blood, but didn't know for sure. Gross!

I remember when Blockbuster showed up in the early 1990s and put the local video stores out of business. The tables have turned.

I had a budgie who figured out how to break out of his cage by pushing his food dish away (which left an escape hatch). He also seemed to understand the physics behind his cage latch and would tug it when he wanted to come out and play.

Aaron is spot on.
I've been a fan of the show not because I admire Beavis and Butthead, but because I've had to put up with a people like them: stupid, reckless, juvenile, lazy and just plain mean. It goofs on them perfectly.

The Outsider to Precipice stage is what fascinates me. If I sported a goofy hat or accessory, people would think:

Doesn't she know how stupid that looks?

or

She must really want attention. Geez!

Yet I can think of a few people who, if spotted wearing the same thing, would make people think

That's pretty clever! Why didn't I think of that? or That's what I like about her. She lives by her own rules!
