He works hard and gets a subsidy to keep that work worth doing (that work being: feeding us, BTW)... That is quite a contrast to people who get a subsidy for doing squat and benefiting no one. So I understand where he comes from... He ought to re-evaluate his argument though. Often people who are "parasites" for a time will be a great benefit to society in the future. I'm sure he's thinking more about those selfish leeches that are certainly out there, but he ought to specify that... not just lump everyone together into one pile.

It's a beautiful tower, but I'm disappointed that it is still in essence a typical glass brick building coated in some pretty cement. I guess that could be thought of as a synthesis of "form and function," but it could also be thought of as a hubcap.

I'm going to amend that statement by saying that since 3/3 can be represented as "1", 0.9-bar is an unnecessary and meaningless numerical representation.

It's a simple error if you ask me. 0.3-bar + 0.6-bar = 1, not 0.9-bar.

There is certainly more value to Alaska than cash money...

In my town, the street-crossing buttons work quite well. Pressing one turns the light immediately unless the light has only just changed to green for the main road. If you DON'T press it, it will stay that way until you do or until a car trips the sensor in the road.
AND, our elevator buttons work fine too....
I guess the bottom line is: push the button and hope. It takes a whole one second and might save you quite a while at a stoplight.

1: Rapist realizes he's been caught.
2: Rapist goes into even more of a rage.
3: Rapist kills woman, gets scissors, cuts the dang thing off.
On top of all this, if you're worried about HIV, the last thing you want in a rapist bleeding all over you.
Anyway, if you're willing to put something inside of you with spikes in it, I bet you'd have more luck with a locking chastity belt... or say, mace?

Looks like half a story with not enough info to go on. First off, one of the complaints was by a child's "biological parents..." Does that imply that the parents doing the "tatooing" were the legal ones... as in adoption? If so, the bio parents have no say whatever.
If the "tatooers" were actually using real sterile technique, if the tatoos WILL actually fade, and if the kids actually wanted them, than how is that worse than getting you young daughter's ears pierced? They certainly still do that at a much younger age than this. I wonder if every parent that gets their child's ears pierced should be thrown in jail... Try THAT one in court. HA. They should have a professional take an expert look at the whole thing and go with that. News agencies aren't exactly fair and certainly aren't experts.
Anyway, someone needs to introduce these people to henna.
