Working for an oil and gas company (not BP) I've been on environmental clean up jobs, and I've washed and rehabilitated many birds. It's not as taxing and time strenuous at all. It doesn't take that long to clean a bird up.

Now rehabilitating it and cleaning the inside does take time and effort. But mostly it's because it costs a lot of money. In this case, money is not an issue. BP is paying whatever it takes to make this problem go away (already $1.43 billion). Sorry but I say treat them like you would your own personal animal.

Sometimes there's too much damage, but that's few and far between (and they are often very old animals). You can't just go euthanizing animals because it's easier rather than cleaning them up.

P.S. that's bs what she said about few surviving...she needs to realize the new technology of environmental cleanup

Hey do you know if they have a replacement for the Beastie Boys? Because they were supposed to be at Austin City Limits in Oct. which is just like Lollapalooza, and they had to back out.

Wow! In Houston we don't charge anything. Since our bus system is connected to and uses the carpool lanes, we just pick people up at the metro stations and head downtown (since all of our park and rides head downtown). On the way home we stop at the bus routes along this one central street and ask who wants to get to our part of town. It's pretty efficient actually. And free. Plus you meet interesting people since it's always business men and women.

i just believe it depends on the situation. if you think your grandmother would laugh about it, then by all means keep a sharpie labeled jar in your fridge, but if your grandmother was tight-laced and wanted to remain respectable...well, then it might be better honoring her in a different way. for me, i say that i'm already dead and flying around heaven somewhere, whatever makes my loved ones happy, they can do it.
