Affirmantive action is not just about skin color it is about trying to encourage all minorities. Larger populations of similar people will always yield a higher number of top students. I am sure those that have made their mind up about race minorities will not be swayed by anything I say, but…
What about women? When I was in engineering school, there were 3 women out of hundreds of men. Should the university encourage more women in their programs? What if there were to be no women at all in my engineering school, because there was always a plentiful supply of men with slightly better grades?
What about affirmative action on the job site? I know- “The job should go to the most qualified”. However, what happens when a company is truly prejudice? They absolutely, will never higher any minority. It doesn’t matter what their grades are, or the university they attended or how good their personality is. Then what do you do?
What about a company not paying women or minorities the same salary for the same experience and job?
I don’t know what the answer is to all this. It is easy to say “Life isn’t fair.” but for a white male like me, it sure is a lot more fair.

Talk about something to be exploited. Couldn't you create a "Manchurian Candidate" candidate with something like this?

The interview seems to be questions mostly from Americans, so it is kind of hard not to have answers about America.
Someone said they thought the "Parrot Sketch" was stupid and liked Jeff Dunham better. I think the question was tongue-and-cheek, but Cleese was polite and offered that Jeff Dunham was probably great.
He is a comedian, and answered the questions put to him, in what I thought was a gracious tone. He doesn't like Fox News, but that doesn't mean he hates the US. Maybe he is a John Stewart / Colbert fan?

There is a lot of money to be made off school lunches. Perhaps this is a move to protect sales?

Now let's hook that baby up to a power generator. That should help reduce their power bills.

Sounds like good advice, just like the notice on blow dryers that say not to use in the bath tub.

Okay, I get it. The brown M&M's were to be sure the promoter read the rider. However, one single brown one in the bowl does not mean they didn't read it.
Do they eat the M&M's. I am not sure I would want to eat M&M's that have been handled enough to exclude one color. Not to mention, I can picture the poor guy/gal doing the job, saying "Here you go mister big-time singer" as they rub the M&M's on their arm pits (or worse!!!).

@uruwai,
No, he is wearing a foam rubber chest to make him look strong. He was much older than he was in the original StarTrek episode. If you look closely, the rubber chest starts at the “strategically” placed necklace he is wearing.

I read that Bill Murray's character in Groundhog day was orginally suppose to be stuck for 10,000 years repeating the same day. They changed it to only 10 years by the movie's release.
For another time travel movie check out "Time Crimes" on Netflix. Interesting approach to all the problems dealing with meeing yourself.

Looks great to me. I could see this being a big franchise if they can pull it off.

I hate how it has become a kind of contest to see who can get this stuff to fluff the highest. Why should it matter that it takes skill? Toppings are suppose to enhance the pie, not dominate it.

Twice we have heard about the workers at Apple plants threatening suicide, and some workers did go through with it.
This is s system that cannot last. This isn't an Apple issue, it is an industry issue. We can exploit cheap labor and treat people as slaves for just so long and then those workers will revolt.
So, teach the Chinese how to make our stuff, and one day they may decide to just make stuff for themselves and sell THEIR products to the rest of the world.

In the end, the tuition in all studies will go up. Before everyone knew what the increase would be in tution, but now they'll have to look up their specific department. Less unity = less griping. Or we'll gripe wiith each other over what is fare, giving the same result.
If the expense of degrees become a trend, what about who has the most epensive building or facilities?
