"Safe enough for driving but stopping will be hell."
You think motorcyclists stop with their feet?

Sorry, you don't feel "badly" any more than you feel "happily."
Funny that no one ever corrects "sad," "angry," "ecstatic," etc.

I once vomited on a casino carpet and the result was an HDR image of Big Ben.

@Alex - A river that is seasonal is still not, by definition, "waterless."

I once worked with a guy who admitted to me that he had failed the written test something like 5 times. On the 6th try, the woman who graded the tests, who had come to know him by then, felt sorry for him and fudged the grade to let him pass.
Really, if a guy fails 6 times in a row, he has proved himself to be the sort of person who should not be allowed behind the wheel of a car.

@ted -- I think you misunderstand how a conventional airbag works. It inflates rapidly, then immediately begins deflating to soften the impact of the driver against the bag. It happens extremely fast, before the driver comes into contact with the bag.
These external airbags would work the same way. They are not constantly inflated.

My personal opinion on the NeatoHub:
It seems these "hubs" have been popping up a lot as of late, and I personally find them annoying. I click on a link for a story, which doesn't take me to the story, but launches a new tab/window with yet another link to the story (along with several others). I then have to click on the link again, which launches yet another tab/window, finally with the story.
It's as if the Web has taken a step back in usability.

“People that has always been good English ...”
Huh? Is there a direct-address comma missing there? Because that's the only way I can make sense of that sentence.

Does it bother anyone else that the first sentence of *English Prof.* Dennis Baron's quote is a run-on sentence?
