I think something like that would be great. However, every time I look at a space that large and vaulted, all I can think about is how expensive it must be to heat.
Eating of oysters has always intrigued me. As a kid we had them whenever they were in season. Seems even during the Civil War they were a regular meal item. Now its a major luxury to have oysters.
I got a small allowance as a little kid, but as a teen I was paid for major chores that they would have paid others do do such as yard work and helping my Dad in his shop. I was also lucky to score a couple more yards in my neighborhood that added to the bucks.
I still have a portable dishwasher, like the one in the ad, that I inherited from my Mom. It still works like a charm, even though its white and not harvest gold.
My dad was born in 1906. His family wasn't dirt poor, but not well to do either. Most of his Christmas' as a young boy consisted of an orange. It was a *huge* luxury to have fruit shipped all the way from Florida at that time. I definitely understand that young boy being very impressed with his Christmas orange.
