Certainly I understand not all content is neat for all people and I'm free to scroll past what I don't like; I do it all the time. Also I understand gun ownership is a complex issue and this isn't about the political ramifications of gun ownership.

It's about a gun's primary purpose which is to cease life in sentient organisms and has no other purpose. Any artistic modifications to guns is designed to hide or enhance the fact that its purpose is to kill and nothing but.

If you like guns, that's your prerogative and it may find many viewers interested in your posts. I would ask you and other people to question why an interest guns is neat? Are there other posts that focus on items that kill? (Apart from zombies of course) I'm not sure there would be an interest in a post about how cool a 'rape wand' would be for a trans-vaginal ultrasound. That's another item that only has one, negative purpose.

Can the Neatorama editors ask themselves why they insist on having links to guns, either antique or otherwise? How is a weapon, designed for killing humans as its sole purpose, neat, interesting or something to be promoted? Killing is not neat.

I'm with BeeJay on this. The comments here are amazing, and although perhaps a small subsection of what this country thinks, or as Alex says the people who disagree most are the ones most likely to post, I am amazed to see so many who are ill informed. It's a wonderful thing that we all have minds and can have opinions on anything and everything. That said, I really wish the people who don't think global warming is real or in dispute somehow could have their own planet to destroy, but I'm not that fortunate.

Truth is not a popularity contest although by the time some of these people come around it will likely be too late.

Can we start having a serious discussion about severing this country in two or possibly three? For the people who benefit substantially from taxes in all of its forms to be morally opposed to paying it should live in their own tax free utopia. I'd like to make sure they begin their new country free of all of the things that taxes have provided (which would leave them almost nothing), but that's not very nice. When they decry not getting to a hospital in time because they have no phones to call an ambulance, no roads to drive on and no hospital to provide care, they'd likely cry foul, but we don't work like that.

Seriously, let's cite irreconcilable differences and call half red, half blue and the other half whatever. We're not getting along anyway, let the tax-free moralists have their own place to be morally superior.

My wife complains about this: she got a Masters in social work (because there are even fewer opportunities for even less money with 'just' a Bachelor's) and does really great work helping people. However, the school debt is very large and the pay she gets is very small. Perhaps school debt needs to be tied to average pay of the job the school tells you you're qualified for...

Actually I think higher education should be heavily subsidized by the government, but the rich and powerful Oz doesn't want an educated society (might lead to more equality).

Um, as far as I've ever heard borborygmi is straight from a George Carlin routine. I was always under the impression that he made it up, but I could be wrong...
