Why donate ALL the profits instead of a portion. What is a portion if a profit of an energy drink? If they retail for $3 and HALF of that is $1.50 then a portion of that cold be anything from five cents to say $1.25. Which end of the spectrum is it almost nothing or close to all of it?

I hate to be the one but....Android has had this for a couple years now. I have an iPhone and my friend got one of the first Android phones and I was jealous. Nice to see it some to the world of "i" devices.

I should have been more specific. I meant stereotypes that Neatorama is promoting. Poor choice of words. I'm sorry for the confusion and offense I may have caused. It seems like at least once or twice a week there's some ill informed article on here without the proper details in the byline that make it seem like "oh those wacky crazy Asians are at it again" instead of writing about what's really going on or some informative articles about culture. Instead it's always thr easy way out linking to some website that has an amausing picture that is representative of a small percentage of a culture or that is taken out of context. It's getting on my nerves. I love Asian culture, particularly Japanese and Neatorama is doing a huge disservice by taking these things out of context and promoting them are oddities to be gawked at. I don't see them doing this with other cultures nearly as much. It's insensitive and just cements in the Western mind this mistaken cultural identity and that it's ok to make fun of people because they're "different."

I'm just going to start disseminating all these racist Asian stereotypes you guys keep promoting.

This is a somewhat common new phenomenon in Asia. In general Asians suppress facial expressions, unlike Americans who smile at everyone and everything (this make us seem 'crazy' to Russians.) So, smile classes have become a sort of training for those who are going to be in the public eye and deal with Westerners. (Like these nice ladies who are working on the newest bullet train but that apparently isn't "neat") It's so they look more friendly to us. If you watch people of Japan in their native country on videos you will generally see them do very polite facial expressions more focused on their eyes and reserved smiles. Though if you know what to look for you can see all the emotions in their eyes. This is why Western emoticons are mostly focused on a mouth like a smile :-D and Asian emoticons are more focused on eyes (^_^).

Haagen-Dazs has a lot of flavors that go to Japan that never make it here. They come in these little single serving cups and they are awesome. I had Millefeuille aux Franboises (raspberry millefeuille) and something with caramel and pear I think. They both had little pieces of cookies in them. My friend had a Gateau Chocolat which was like a chocolate ice cream brownie with chocolate sauce. Of course they also had green tea.

I have Wildman's foraging book and now his new iPhone App and I love them! It's amazing how much is edible that we all think are just weeds. I really highly recommend both of them. He is extremely knowledgeable and provides plenty of identifying info and pictures or his own drawings. I've always been interested in what you can eat in the wild by foraging and now I can easily say "oh that this or that."

Recently I made some really great elderflower syrup and have some elderflower schnapps stewing. All from a tree that grows right across the alley from my house! Everyone else just pulls weeds or trims then back I usually eat them!

I agree, just stop making $1 bills!

One of the arguments I've heard against the dollar coins is that they are to big and heavy. My solution: quarter sized bronze (color) coin maybe with a hole in it?

Also, using coin money in Japan was much more convienient then most Americans would ever think. Though, the vending machines taking just about anything helps. I especially miss carrying about 500Y (aprox $5) coins around.

They have 'tap to pay' all over Japan. Most phones have an NFC chip and you can pay at convenience stores, restaurants, and for the subway with your phone. It was amazing.

Will is correct about the distillation and the wormwood soaking in thr alcohol leaving it too bitter.

I've tried several absinthes over the last few years and the most recent one came with wormwood floating in the bottle. It was too bitter to drink even with sugar and water. It was really only good for a quick shot which defeated the purpose of absinthe drinking being a relaxing event that is to be savored.

My favorite is Absinthe Suisse Verte Clandestine. Wonderful flavor and herbal components but not too overpowering and strong. Plus, the Swiss never really stopped making absinthe. ; ) You csn easily order it and have it shipped here, just be mindful shipping is expensive.

I've had Ted Breuax absinthe and there was something about it I just didn't like. Absinthe preference is very personal though. I tend not to like the anise free versions as they seem to be missing a component that is neccsisary.
