Yaaaay! I live within driving distance like of half this list! If I was SUPER motivated I could even walk to Gary. ::pours another drink:: Oh well...could be worse. ::shrug::

The result on my phone vs my work pc is an age level down but still male. Again. This is not too surprising. I'm not into things most female are. So according to an adverage of the two I'm about 25 and male.

As a person who has these sensitivities I can easily see both sides of the argument. Frankly, I don't think that there needs to be a flat out ban trying to tell people what they can and cannot put on. People have civil liberties. That being said, I've been in situations where someone's perfume, cologne, fabric softener, soap, hair spray etc. (it's a long list) has made me ill and I can empathize completely.

People without these allergies have no idea how sick these smells can make another person; headaches (to the point of migraine), nauseous (to the point of vomiting) make it impossible to deal with these odors. I encounter a variety of people in my daily work and once I had to tell someone "I'm sorry but because of the extremely strong scent of your cologne I am going to have to get another tech to work on your pc because the smell is making me very sick." it was an enclosed office and this man had put on way too much of a very potent cologne.

I think a compromise can be made. A simple friendly workplace rule that if you are going to be interacting with the public  you need to be mindful, not just of the public but of your coworkers.

Realistically how long is someone going to be working with a member of the public who has these allergies? Is it really that long of a duration that a public person cannot "though it out" so to speak (that's what I usually have to do." Either that or put up a sign that says if there's any reason you as a person of the public have a problem interacting with the staff due to a medical condition we will accommodate it to the best of out ability. This brings up a good point though if it's a medical condition are they required by law to accommodate it? Where do you stop? Do you tell your employees which soap to use etc. etc. ?

The transgendered thing matters because of the issues facing trams individuals who seek body modification from places other then a doctor. It can be difficult for a trans person to find a doctor who is willing to treat them to begin with and insurance may not cover some or all of their operations. Some of these people may have body dismorphic disorder and go to any length to achieve what they feel they need to change.

I get where they're coming from, so many people go without needed organ transplants when theoretically there's no need to. I think rather than opt-out, it'd be better if it was a "we need a yes or no on file". That way you'd have to say whether or not you want to donate rather than a voluptuary out in or out.

So lets see, #19 almost died and how many of these were high risks to her? I don't see how this is responsible to her health, the child's heath or the health and well being of the other still minor children in the household. She's spent almost fourteen years being pregnant!

Having read some memoirs written by women who escaped the "quiverfull" and FLDS movements I can't help but feel so heartbroken for these women and children.

I'm all for religious freedom and freedom of belief but at some point I'd hope someone would step back and say "no, that's enough, this is not healthy"

JohnJ +1credit unions FTW! Love mine! Banks can go to hell. Charging people for everything INCLUDING deposits? I'm surprised they had the guts to even say this when people can't find work or pay their mortgage. Hope everyone moves their money to credit unions and bankrupts these money grubbing a-holes!
