Hey cool, you posted it!
I was blown away when I heard this story on the local news station. What else are we going to make gender neutral because of a couple of people who have nothing better to do than to cause problems?
"subtle forms of discrimination"... back when these signs were printed, probably only about 2% of workers were even women.. Thats not discrimination, thats just proper description. Do any of the women who work on the roads complain about it? I'd like to hear their thoughts.

"I think that a handful of you are taking this post - and yourselves - far too seriously.
Whether or not one loves or hates George Bush, this story has an element of humor to it. You may be so wrapped up into the “us vs. them” politics that have polarized much of the nation over the past few years, and you may disagree with the sentiment, but come on, folks, trying to name a sewage treatment plant after an unpopular political figure is funny."
The story is funny. You're biased political slant isn't.

"It’s a light-hearted general interest story in the International Herald Tribune and it’s funny. Is there anything I could possibly say or do to make George Bush less popular than he already is? Do you think, perhaps, that the International Herald Tribune erred in publishing the story, too?" - Adam Stanhope
It's not that you posted the story, it's that you added the "fitting tribute for our outgoing President". I woulda lol'd at the story just the same if you hadn't put that at the end.

So when did this become a political message board? I come here to see funny cool and neat stuff, not to see contributors peddle their personal political beliefs.
If its a story bashing Bush, that's one thing, but you don't need to go adding your personal angst towards him with stuff like "fitting tribute for our outgoing President".
I just don't think you should taint the stories with biased views, that's all.

Where's the third option for 'Grow up and stop making race an issue!'?
There was nothing wrong with the comment. If the comment was made towards anyone else who wasn't black it wouldn't ever have been talked about. We are keeping racism alive by continuing to accuse people of racist things that aren't remotely racist.

The evidence supporting this is so overwhelming that i'm going to sell everything I own and give it to support the locating of our long lost brothers and sisters INSIDE our earth!

And the colors are so great! I only wish we could see as many colors as the camera that captured those images.
