Devolved's Comments

My 5 year old absolutely loved it when we visited about 10 years ago -So I rode the damned thing 5 times in a row.
I started noticing the the heads where out of sync with the bodies, and would eventually face backwards.

I found a wet napkin floating in the water on the bottom of the boat and amused my self by chucking little wads at the charachers. Some stuck to their heads....I wonder if they're still there?

It was a sad ride back then, I assume it's been falling apart more and more since?

Eric is right that little Kimberly will live a life with major health problems; most kids born prematurely do. But which came first; the chicken or the egg?

In cases like this, I seriously doubt that the health problems are caused by the premature birth; most likely the premature birth is caused by the underlying health problems. The mother's body knows if the child she is carrying has serious issues, and tries to spontaneously abort the pregnancy. Unfortunately, many in the medical profession jump into a case like this with the noble goal of saving a life when they should let life run its natural course. We're at a crossroads in the technological advancement of medicine where some just don't know where to quit.

And in a country with socialized health care, it's the parents who make the decision to press on, but they don't suffer the full repercussions of prolonging the child's life; the state pays the bills. That said, I sure wouldn't want the state making that call either.

"My guess is that they’re a bunch of low income, trailer dwellers that bought some cheap bikes from the Salvation Army when their 1978 Dodge Aspen gave out."

This would be a bad thing because...

Oh, I know why! it exposes Ray as a complete asshole.

Been there. And Seen documentries.

The get fed cooks mince...

So dont associate blood with dinner but you cant keep tigers on a vege diet they can't digest it.

They cant let them go... The are effectively overgrown pussycats. First thing they would do if let loose is to go to the nearest village, for some company and din dins expecting to be fed and co and say hi to a kid. the parents not knowing them would freak and shoot the poor things.

The monks are like mum and mum is dominant tiger. they are not beaten... more light slaps with is what mum tiger would do to get them to do things like stay in the area. Not a good idea from them to wander off in the massive grounds when tourists who dont know them are wandering around. They kinda flip if they see the tiger with nobody around to say dont worry hes just comming over to say hi.

Tourist run the tiger thinks playtime and runs after and pounce. tourist fights thinking under attack. both get a little hurt and claims of tiger attack. Poor tigers put down all very sad.

So when staff and monks around tiger more free when tourists are around a bit more conntrolled like tigers take turns on chains... saw that... they took them off the chains as well so only a certian number running free at a time. But they got to have a go running around

It is amusing that the ad copy says, "they are not toys", yet the illustration depicts a child, presumably fiddling with one. Or dead. Now that I ponder the illustration, the child possibly seems slumped over and inanimate. Perhaps that's why "Papa says it won't hurt us" is written on the child's shirt. One wonders if such a gun, if so ineffective on children, would be of any use against an assailant?

BTW, Fodder, Nora, Tinderbox, what's with the lack of humor?

The last Iver Johnson revolver I saw was worth about $6, today's money. Probably better as a paperweight.

Adjusted for inflation, that gun would be about $130. Modern handguns in that price range really are much better.

What so funny is, that most of you try to be high and mighty about this matter (NO, my parents always had me on a leash, I would NEVER loose sight of my kid) the monks actually having to repair the damage were like: "Well, no big deal. *shrug*"
