Wow. You're so right, there are so many things we need to ''move on'' from. The man-made global warming trope is way ready for us to move on from. As is the whole Man-is-killing-the-Earth meme. Also, I think that maybe it's time to move on from it's-okay-to-have-sex-with-a-million-people-in-your-lifetime. Oh, and how about we move on from it's-fine-to-have-children-without-being-able-or-willing-to-provide-a-real-home-for-them thing... Now, THAT's one idea that's way beyond it's expiration date...

It depends on where you live in France... I've had tap water that tasted fine but, for example, I remember, one hot summer, that the tap water started to taste and reek of chlorine or something very similar. Couldn't cook my pasta in it, had to buy bottled water to cook with!

Tap water in French homes can be expensive, so I am assuming that if these fountains of sparkling water are free and convenient to get to, they will have some success.

I can't see families replacing their stocks of bottled water at home with it, though. Much too convenient to just buy packs of water at the supermarket. Who wants to lug lots of empty bottles to the nearest fountain just to get water? Who has the time? Perhaps the younger ''green'' set will see it as a way to be cool.

Great playing but just highlights how boring ragtime can be when you listen to more than a minute or two of it...

Have no idea why anyone would want to markey this as a ''fruit bowl''. It just doesn't have the right look for a fruit bowl. Who wants to put fruit on license plates? No matter how clean they are?

Just market it as a bowl to empty your pockets into, or just to keep your car keys in, but fruit?

Why do people even propose this kind of silliness? Of course, you cannot have health care without humans doing the caring. Why would you even imagine otherwise?

Pres Eisenhower never gets enough credit for his Civil Rights Act of 1957. Everybody always mentions Pres Kennedy's from many years later. And no one seems to remember that Sen Thurmond, a Democrat, filibustered up a storm to try to stop Eisenhower's legislation.

The bestest sandwich in the world is the one you get to eat when you are outdoors, water-skiing, picnic-ing in the woods or at the beach, whatever. Go swim in a lake for an hour and then have someone offer you a sandwich of any kind. BEST food ever.

We really do need to limit terms senators and reps. These permanent DC fixtures need to move on...
