Well, the Japanese may have surrendered but they pretty much ''invaded'' Honolulu anyway. It's like Little Japan.
The Memorial is wonderful, though. If only the tourists would shush like they are asked to when they take you out to the actual memorial site. They keep jabbering and it's aggravating. So disrespectful.
Brooks was a Democrat. Ahem. As was Sam Houston, if I recall correctly. And Potter... I see a trend there. LOL

There are still many many many people out there who understand the sacrifices involved in military service, especially in a time of war, and who appreciate that so many do still join up. Ours is a volunteer military, a professional one. And we are blessed to have them.
WHY is that olivia wilde actress so popular? She is painful to watch and has about 1.5 expressions in her repertoire. Couldn't they have given the role to someone a little more dynamic? Ugh.
French unions dream of bringing down governments with their incessant striking. Especially a president who is not a Lefty. It's all about a very small number of people wanting power and the recent strikes over a silly two-year difference in early retirement age was beyond ridiculous. What a union member has been ''given'' must never be taken away. It doesn't matter that life expectancy is now longer and work conditions have improved greatly. They see themselves as still living their grandfathers' work lives, downtrodden and exploited. The union bosses are all TV stars, well-off, with great retirement packages. Long live the unions!
It would be pretty amazing to have all the SAT graders ALL be ready to give points just because as essay was long. Anyone who has ever spent time grading knows that you can tell pretty quickly into an essay if the student is on the ball or not.

blah.
it all looks the same.
so boring.
What nonsense.
It's good that TV shows do try to choose other locales than NYC and LA, though.
