I canceled my expensive landline 6 years ago, in favor of a much-cheaper cellphone. Yet I still get the unwanted phone book every year, which goes straight into the garbage can. Sorry, trees.
Exactly! I avoid restaurants and places where you're supposed to tip. Did anybody tip the cashier at the grocery store? Why not? What do they have to do to be included in the tip-worthy list? I feel no guilt about it either. Just last week, a friend (who has been a college professor for many years) told me that his daughter (who is just 19) is now making more money than he is because she got a job at a bar and so many people feel sorry for her the poor working-class kid, so they tip her. Those dollars add up. Tax-free income.
These are horrible. I feel sorry for the poor, unknown writer who invests so much time coming up with a new story, and then some idiot ruins it in a few seconds. No wonder most movies are bad.
