I'll donate the $100... as one who has dabbled in propane art, there are a lot of variables to deal with and unless you are 'in the biz' it's all trial and error as there are no obvious resources... So unless Mr Awesome knows the difference between full flow and excess flow valves...

We don't use whale blubber for candles but we still have candles and if you want a whale blubber candle, you probably can find one somewhere between Japan and Hong Kong. Damascus steel specifically may be a lost recipe, but clearly we still make swords as close to it as we can...

Isn't the father already paying the taxes, etc? The school wasn't making any more money if the kids spent 2 extra nights a week in his house... So really, what's the financial argument here? Taxes WERE paid...
Bottom line is our society may be getting domestic partner benefits but kids certainly aren't getting anything from having multiple houses and parents, etc.. I'm guessing they aren't divorced or the separation would have spelled out where the kids lived legally. Even then, a sharing agreement can be vague on residency.

I think the key here is having the skills to do your job. I work in an environment of predominantly women in their 50's and I really believe if they want to stay employed they need to show a little initiative on their own. It's like a bunch of car makers or steel makers not wanting to learn the newer technology. Or your ditch digger wanting to use a shovel because he doesn't want to learn to drive a back hoe. Or staring at your analog TV wondering where the signal went 2 years after the digital conversion... Be informed, be relevant, be useful...
Stupidest movie ever. The book fully explained soylent green is a product of ocean plankton scooped up by giant subs with filters much like a whale eats. There are also other colors, green being the most desirable. In the book, soylent green is NOT people and nothing of that sort happens in the book.... There is one part where they eat some rancid beef much like we all did in colonial days... Otherwise it's a pretty boring read.
