when I first scrolled down to the picture I thought the mask was made from a cherry cheese danish gone awry, and perhaps burned a little... Prolly wouldn't want to wear that as a mask though! :)

Love this! For me there were a few songs missing: Growing Pains: "As Long As We've Got Each Other", Night Court (no words, but still), Monk, Fraiser, and Magnum P.I.
I suppose it would have been the skit that never ended...
Im never going to get these songs out of my head!

I think this works, i learned to love spinich (in a can) as a kid because of Popeye! It didnt have a silly name but i thought of how much I admired the sailor and if he eats it I should to. I would beg my mom for canned spinich at the grocery store. I still love canned spinich to this day.

A tactic my mom used was putting a small dollop of bacon drippings into the boiling water of whatever veggie she was cooking with dinner and it was sooo good.

Thanks for looking into this Miss Cellania! I know that this is controversial but I suppose that's part of being alive!

@Alexander Landfair, I agree if the grafter isn't going to take care to make sure the fruit goes to good use (the WHOLE point of guerilla grafting) then they should refrain from grafting. Grafting isn't easy and have to be nurtured so hopefully there will be little waste.

I know that in San Francisco there is a group of people who have grafted fruit trees to normal trees in the city on side walks and in parks to have a "free" sustainable food source for the less fortunate. The city doesn't always allow it, without proper maintenance (who likes rotting fruit on the ground?), but some neighborhoods have taken to it and have dedicated people who don't mind the gardening adventure
I forget what the group is called, but i love the idea!
With so many parks with trees that are healthy and maintained one little branch that bears fruit is just a great idea.

I went to a high school where the teachers went by their first names and if you had to go you got up and went. If you didn't didn't return to class when you should you were just reminded that you were wasting your time not theirs. You could graduate early if you had the motivation.
It was the best school because it taught people how to be responsible and that if you worked hard you COULD do great things and go far! I think that more teachers should be encouraging independence and being self sufficient.

Great picture! I have developed an infatuation with craters and lakes after visiting Oregon's Crater Lake in 2000. I recently learned of the Russian island Onekotan. It is beautiful and interesting. Thanks for the post!

Saw this @ eatliver a few days ago, thought it was funny there and its funny here too.
The commenting at eatliver was more forgiving. I don't understand how people can get so bent out of shape over a silly parody. I love neatorama and will always come back even though i do not agree or care for every post. You guys get it right more often than not, in my opinion.

I wonder how much hate mail "the onion" gets?

@ezpz you are easily one of my favorite commenters on here.
You are absolutely right about China, not only are they NOT going to stop but they are making new deals right now to ship even more coal from Wyoming all the way to Oregon, down the Columbia River and straight to China! (Wonder what that will do to the cost of coal for Americans?)
Fossil fuels will be used and burned, bought and sold, no matter how many global warming studies are done. Period. LOL!
