I can't really remember, having never tracked how many times, but I've re-read a bit of Tolkien's works probably a dozen or so. That includes The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and the Silmarillion. Then there are Tolkien's other non-Middle-earth works I love, like Smith of Wooton Major and Leaf By Niggle.
I've re-read the Hitchhikers books a few times, but not as many. And if you want to count the Bible, I've re-read that four times cover-to-cover (each were different translations). If you thought the Silmarillion was tough with a million names and places, you haven't tried to slog thru something like Numbers.

Yea! All those Syd and Marty Krofft shows were great! Not just Sigmund, but don't forget the trippiest one that started the whole thing, HR Puffnstuff: The Lost Saucer, Far Out Space Nuts, The Land of the Lost, The Bugaloos (such a crush on Joy!), The Banana Splits, and so many more. I really hope Amazon does this justice (no cheap CG, stuff like that).

A lot of news sources are reporting this with a sense of glee, but I can't find it in myself to feel that way. Their demise is their own doing, poor vision and an apparent inability to adapt to changing markets, but that doesn't lessen the impact they had. One of my earliest projects I remember was building a voice synthesizer for my Commodore 64 (or VIC-20) built with parts entirely from Radio Shack.
In the early 90s even I tried to get a job at one, and if I remember correctly, I was told that the commission earned was mostly thru (high pressure) battery sales. Retrospect says my decision to walk away was the correct choice, even before this news. There have been interviews with ex-employees long before this and it painted a pretty grim picture of the environment.

Since you didn't mention these, I'll just throw them out. Mostly from the the recently-ended 2014 Fall season. Lately I seem to be more focused on slice-of-life with cute girls, so keep that in mind with regards to a few of these...
Parayste. By far this is at the #1 spot for me. Everything works well: the art, the music, the story. It's a long series, continuing into the Winter season. Definitely not a cutesy series.
World Trigger. Another long series, and one that seems to have people divided. I'm liking it a lot. Some are complaining that the animation is minimal, but for someone who grew up with Hanna-Barbara cartoons, I never really noticed it until pointed out.
I have to mention Celestial Method, because I liked that one too, and it's getting blasted. Some of the complaints are valid, but overall, if I were liable to import something, this would be it. The only reason I'm not is that I'm 75% into importing something from the summer, and it's just too expensive.
Kokkuri-san walked that fine line between humor and seriousness.
I've picked up KanColle, but the first episode had me underwhelmed. I guess I was hoping for something more akin to Arpeggio. I'll give it a few more episodes, but I'm a bit disappointed because this was my most anticipated.
I've also heard that "Working!" (Wagnaria) is getting a third season "soon", so I caught up on the first two, and I liked it enough to look forward to another season.
There are others, but way too much to talk about in one sitting!

I could watch this like 10 times in a row. Well, I did. I was not prepared for the slapstick-esque reaction.

I've not really looked at the comments, but there are clearly a lot of omissions to the list. I'd say this list is more biased towards a 20-something gamer, or those with short memories. The list is mostly pointing out the blockbuster titles for consoles, rather than any kind of "of all time" ranking. There is slim mention of anything that predates the 2000's and not a single Atari or Commodore game is mentioned. There were quite a number of immortal games on both of those platforms.

Ah, they didn't mention Ministry's first album, "With Symphony". It was glam rock. I picked it up when it first came out, and it was OK, but I never followed the band until later, and by that point they were morphed into industrial. I didn't believe it was the same band, it was so different.

Not that it matters, but that's about 5 miles from me... I don't know what street this is, but if it's where I think it is (a division called White Meadow Lake), they get a lot of bears there. We even have bear hunting season, but there's people who protest it. Maybe they should see this video?

That's nasty. That would be like sucking the condensed water from your air conditioner. I hope there's some kinda filter/purification going on.

I remember when this happened, and I don't know why, but it's still as morbidly fascinating now as it was then. Compare it to the Jim Jones cult (which I also remember), which was of much greater magnitude than Heaven's Gate, but I guess for Heaven's Gate, technology tie-in is a greater pull. Maybe some intrepid urban explorer should go visit Jonestown.

I started to watch it but I wanted to vicariously die of embarrassment for the interviewees.

I'm a pretty big Hello Kitty fan, and when I read the original article, I felt like slapping someone. Today, it seems I am not alone, because Kotaku has an article addressing this, with some answers direct from Sanrio. Seems like the LA Times article was making assumptions it should not have been...

Anyways, I posted this URL on the Nerdalicious post about this:

Quite a few interesting things you can buy. Like a used catalytic converter. Or various samples of frozen human urine. I wonder if they sell on Amazon?
