I'm with Woogie. If somebody going out to get a deer for food because their family is starving, that's one thing. But I've heard of hunters who don't even bother to check if the deer is dead....they just shoot for target practice and leave them out in the field to die. I am 59 years old. I have listened to racists in my family use the N word every Thanksgiving (in front of the little kids, by the way), for as long as I can remember. I know this year it will happen again just as sure as God made little chickens. But, this year maybe it will be different for me. Maybe I will get some kind of satisfaction in knowing that we will have a black President soon and I wasn't the only one who voted for him. Not the only one who saw beyond skin color. I'll be thinking about the millions of people who stood in line to vote for him. I'll be thinking I am so thankful this Thanksgiving we have come so far because I remember when blacks were hosed down like animals. All that hate, FOR WHAT???? So...all you bigots and racists just go on hating for no reason at all if that makes you feel superior. I, for one, am so happy and content.
