Yakima is rife with black widows, and big rattlesnakes. Never found a rattler in my shoes, but learned that shaking boots out prior to putting them on was a great prophylactic measure against black widows.

As long as you have the foot prints painted on the escalator, which side doesn't matter, does it?
I think it is a great idea, and escalators should be equipped this way all the time. You would not have to have each step painted. Every 5th step with a pair of feet, and two steps with one left and one right ought to suffice.
It should be an easy thing to do with a stencil and paint.

"Gluten Free" allows up to 20 parts per million of gluten. To those of us whose sensitivity precludes any gluten whatsoever it is of no value. I prefer the term "No Gluten", which applies to things like apples, oranges, potatoes, rice, nuts, etc.
The funny thing is how they use the term "Natural Flavors" to hide their 20 ppm of gluten. You know there is a bean counter whose company makes a million pounds of product insisting on adding twenty pounds of wheat because "it helps the bottom line and is completely legal".
Anything that says "Made in a facility that also processes wheat" is unsuitable.
The fact that they are trying doesn't mean they are succeeding.

Apparently copper reacts with, and nullifies, the citrus as an anti scorbutic.
Delay in implementing the citrus cure resulted from the assumption that the citrus was not effective in the testing that utilized copper tanks instead of the usual oak barrels.
