Spent over an hour staring into the sky between 4am and 5am ET and only saw four that were definite, might have seen many more very faint ones but that could have been my eyes messing with me. A bit disappointing but still very exciting when a good bright one came by. I sincerely wish I can experience an event like they did in 1833 at some point in my life. I'm sure it was breathtaking.

Bradbury was born in the same town that I was born and grew up in, Waukegan, IL...there's a really nice park and playground there named after him, I wouldn't be surprised if there would be some kind of celebration there as well

he put the bullet in a vice, which practically turns it into a gun without a barrel, all the barrel does is give the bullet trajectory and allows you to aim, if the bullet is held stationary (like in a gun, the shell can't move backwards) then the actual bullet itself has no choice but to move forward...it would work

What about Michaelangelo? I'm surprised he's not on this list. There are many stories of his filth, including that he took his shoes off so rarely and bathed so sparingly, that when he removed his shoes, the skin of his feet would often slough off with them. Also, while working on the Sistine Chapel ceiling, he wore a hat with a candle attached to it to see in better while working in the dark, the candle wax would drip onto his face and he would not clean the wax off, walking around for days with the wax caking his face. Yah, very surprised he's not on this list.

I live in Wilmington, NC and we're, unfortunatly, the flagship city for the entire country for the Digital Switchover...it happened in September...there are plenty of bugs that need to be worked out first, it kinda sucks. At least with analog, when the signal gets weak the picture only gets fuzzier, but with digital the picture is non-existent, like watching a scratched DVD...
