Ted's Comments

But I thought that's what studies showed women looked at the most.

All the men who viewed this picture were looking at his crotch.

Okay, maybe they were also looking at just under her shoulder a little.

LOL at "to woot".

My two cents is that although terrorists may be in the minority, there are lots of Muslims in the world who tacitly agree with some of the things that terrorist organizations say.

The Christian equivalent would be the moderate Christian who agrees with some fundamentalist viewpoints.

Sometimes you "agree" with some points. Sometimes you just "not disagree" with others.

And the members of the American Kennel Club, male and female, are looking right back at the men's crotches.

A picture doesn't have to be moving to show motion. The motion inherent in this picture is the swing of the bat. Perhaps a few of the guys got distracted by the swing of the - well, never mind.

Perhaps the women weren't looking at his crotch because they knew his hands weren't free to "adjust himself", so they settled for the face.

This is so surreal.
Not being an American, it doesn't bother me so much, but the venom can't help your own mental state.

Try to let go of your hatred.

Urm... if you say so.

Not sure what you're saying there, yayo. Sorry to hear you're so angry about something. Hope you get over it soon.

Yayo?
Wow, there's a vast difference between the quality of the English in your first post and your second one. I'm inclined to think the second one is fake.

The Pompeii comment was not about bronze, but the plaster casts of actual dead people from Pompeii. We look at death, but it fails to hit home in a meaningful way. I'm not sure what you're saying, otherwise. You sound like you're agreeing with me, but I can't be sure.

:-)

Troll aside, Brandon does make a point with his inflammatory comment. It may make you uncomfortable to hear it, but it is a valid POV.
Does the red resin trivialize the death and destruction for gawking tourists?

It's like the comment he made about the Pompeii man - crawling out of the box. I thought it was funny. We may be looking at death and saying, "Isn't that neat?", like we're looking at pictures of kittens and unicorns, and forgetting the brutality of what we're seeing.

Lea's right. This is a plaster cast of a hole left by a body that was buried in ash by the volcano. The hole was created once the body decomposed.
The person was not trying to crawl. That's simply the position he was in when he died.
Many people died with their arms protecting their faces - they were asphyxiating, after all.
