Ted's Comments

You have to do the survey as if you weren't going to post a comment on Neatorama about it.

That way, you don't have to try and come up with a myriad of possibilities to make yourself feel moral. The people who actually do triage or fight in wars, and make these kinds of decisions, don't get that chance.

For them it's "Yes or No... Next!"

Why do we have a filter at all, when comments like that get on?

I would have called em nerds, rather. I liked the "feeling awkward pumping gas". Big guy was definitely a better unusual dancer.

I was thinking more of going door-to-door selling cookies rather than a bake sale, but that's a good one, too.

Sorry you missed my point. You seem to think people who think this t-shirt business is a stupid idea are against world peace, or think that it cannot be attained.

This just made me think of the Little Rascals.

"Gee, Skylar, how can we achieve world peace?"
"Let's put on a musical! And if anyone doesn't like it, why, they're just cynics!"

Oh, brother.
It's in Taiwan - you expect equal treatment?

These people work around lingerie all day. They're probably less uptight and more desensitized to the idea of wearing lingerie. Plus, it sounds like they had fun. Heaven forbid people should have fun.

I agree, it is a workplace, but so are swimming pools, strip clubs, Hooters, and plenty of other places where women don't wear business suits.

Sure it's sexist, but it's just as sexist to blame the men for this. Maybe if enough women had said "no", they would have cancelled it.

It would be cool if it was a family member with Down Syndrome included in the painting. My guess is it's just a poorly-drawn "ordinary" child, probably a family member, since that's what artists did.

The whole "modern disease" business is BS. Do they really need to disprove someone's silly comment from 1968? At that time, we were still coming out of our own dark ages in our attitude towards Down Syndrome, freeing people from being strapped to beds in mental institutions.

Loved the first few comments, by the way. But, how do you know that people with Down Syndrome aren't angels?

Wow, listen to the yahoos.

I like the one who said firearm ownership is common in Canada. It isn't. It's just as difficult for honest folk to get guns in Canada as it is in the States - maybe more difficult, because we're not all holier-than-thou about our "right to bear arms". We don't have that "right", and we're doing just fine.

I'm not anti-gun. I would like to own one - maybe one of those Civil War replicas. That would be cool.

I do believe that people kill people, rather than guns, but guns make it much easier. You worry about the control of guns being in the hands of the state, but the state already has your balls clenched in their tight little fists. Owning a gun is just an illusion of security or freedom.

The problem is, this sort of "demonstration" does absolutely nothing to promote the cause of peace.

It grates on a person's nerves to be preached at by a bunch of silly teenagers with dubious motives and a simplistic understanding of world politics.

"We made our own t-shirts to support peace".

How about doing something practical to support peace, like selling cookies or putting on a musical?

It's deceptive because it's upside-down. It's a funnel.
It looks just like one used for canning, except it has that spiral loop - possibly used for distilling or simply to attach it to a stick for a pivot.

Actually, the Persian in the article is another cat owned by the same person.

I can read. I just did it quickly there.

I still think it's fake.

This is like waving a red flag in front of a bull for the bible-bashers.

But I agree, it is presumptuous to call it the "first" just because it's in the Bible.

Actually, the first controlled experiment was with Adam and Eve and the apple.
