Sounds good, but there must be a catch somewhere that will disadvantage the workers. I'm told that when computers started entering the workplace bigtime, it was claimed that a worker could complete a week's worth of work in several hours. More fun! More playtime! More creativity! Sadly, the workers were just given more work to fill in the time, so nothing really changed.

Once workers get used to working longer days, Fridays will be reintroduced perhaps.

Nike Free shoes are another over-priced gimmick, and ridiculous looking to boot. I walk barefoot and run in a $10 pair of Kiks, a supermarket knock-off of Keds. Best thing Ive ever done. My feet and legs are stronger, and I'm not wasting money on garbage.

How come when Nike and others moved their factories to Third World countries the prices of their products never decreased? It is all about more bloated profits for a product no one really needs.

The Smurfs ingest too much silver, Bluto is psychotic, Barney Rubble is codependent to the narcissist Fred Flintstone, and Didi is suffering from mechanical brain damage.

Other mammals produce tears too, but it is impossible to tell if the shed tears are for lubrication or the result of emotions. It seems to me to be highly anthropocentric to say the only a human can shed emotional tears.

Oh, boo-hoo! According to reports, viewership for this program has fallen steadily and dramatically over the past several years. As has been pointed out, this is because of the intolerable number of reruns, and not because of the big, bad Bush. He can be rightfully blamed for many things, but not for this. How many times can one watch "Tar Beach"?

Ugh! More Eurotrash excreta dumped on a nation ignorant of its own past. We here in East Lansing Michigan are slated to get some glass and steel monstrosity built next year, so the ignorati can fawn all over it.

HeHe! I'd go to this wedding. This is far better than that stoopid viral wedding where people lurched and shambled down the aisle to the disgust and horror of all who were in attendance.

Human population growth continues to soar, with no end in sight. The only animals other than "vermin" that will not be extinct in the next 150 years are those that are domesticated or valued as pets. Already, some parrot species are more common in captivity than in the wild. The wild populations cannot be saved because of habitat loss and habitat fragmentation.

Laws used to protect exotic and rare animals frequently contribute to a species decline. A legal robust pet trade provides incentives for collectors to keep a wild population healthy and protected. Strict laws, otoh, encourage smuggling and habitat destruction.

It may be that in the future, if human population growth can be controlled, it is these pets that are used to try and restore a verisimilitude of what once was.
