This happens so often - I was actually switched at birth, but my mum noticed straight away (The other mother was still quite out of it and didn't notice until told) and I ended up with my proper mum. The giveaway was the the other baby was male, while I was female. If hospital staff can get something so obvious wrong, I have pretty much no faith in their ability to do anything.

In any case, I have a good party story to tell!

Why did the Metric Conversion Act fail? You didn't say and to be honest it's always something I've been curious about. Aren't there only something like 2 or 3 countries that don't use the metric system, making the American public's stance fairly unusual?

Soda and Pop is a bit restrictive! I don't know anyone who uses either, here it's all 'soft drink.' And what about 'Soda pop' which I swear I've heard on US TV at least once?

The weridset thing is the fact that his face seems to be stuck in the ":D" position even when singing Os or As. Kiiinda creeping me out.

ANZAC day for all loved ones who've passed away? All military deaths, but not everyone. I'm Australia and I've never heard anyone interpret ANZAC Day as anything but remembrance of military/war deaths. Though maybe I live in the wrong area? :/

He shouldn't have just assumed that police got free food all the time, I mean, if someone brought a box into the office every afternoon, you'd think you'd make a connection that there's some kind of regular system in place. And working in fast food myself I know the last thing you want is someone who assumes they know exactly how everything works.
