@ LuAllen: Oldboy the worst horror movie?!

*bangs head against table* Oldboy is not only not horror it is one of the most finely crafted films ever made! If anyone hasn't seen it they should see it!

Anyhoo; as for the horror movies I would have to seperate them into 'fun horror movies' and 'genuinely scary horror movies'. On the fun side we have Evil Dead 2 and 3, Dead Alive/Braindead, Reanimator...eh can't think of any truly greats right now.

Genuinely scary (and good) I'd say The Descent and Haute Tension...but neither has any zombies in!

I guess zombies aren't very scary, though 28 days later had it's moments!

I know this is a US based site but you have an awful lot of international readers. Shouldn't this be US Presidential nicknames? It confused me at first because it wasn't specified.

I'm not talking out of my arse :) I have to do life drawing everyday to keep my drawing skills fresh for my chosen career path. It's all about observation and after a few years of doing this stuff every day, you can tell from looking at a piece whether the observation is good or not. Even if I couldn't draw, I think everyone is entitled to critique another's work anyway!

Yup childish :) emjo, I have to say I rather prefer what you're doing in your paintings, they're so strong!

Anyhoo Tempscrire, I could dig out stuff I was drawing a few years ago (then I was a child!) and they would be falling back on similar techniques. I adore drawing, and I love that people draw regardless of their ability. But not every drawing is fantastic. I would love to see what emjo could do if she pushed this farther!

@ andrewdoane

The reason that I said poor execution was the quality of the drawing. She clearly isn't a great draftsperson. They look like childish doodles. I think this could have been so much better if drawn properly. Have you ever seen an elephant that looked like that? If you're going to spend so long rendering (often used in an attempt to hide a weak drawing) then the drawng underneath should be good.
