Spectacular...!
That such a small needle can create such rimples in the atmosphere is quit something to ponder....

How naïeve of me- I only thought the handshake had come from former times only to prove that one greeted eachother with un-armed bare hand on equal level.
...Now I have to learn the Social Art of The Handshake- In such a way that I will not seem weak, sub-ordinate or ordinate and all those other things, but just right...

Minnesotastan- that curve with the orbit-hight of ISS included is astounding. Okay- I knew already that the space station barely keeps it's solar-wings only just above the mainpart of the atmosphere. But to see this kind of distances and to realise how much problems we have to scale those is pretty mindboggling.
And then to think that lots of us still believe we humans by now have become the Masters of our environment... Man look at those distances and what we can do with them and you realise that we actually haven't yet learned to swim and that we haven't really learned to fly.....!

I hope they will start with the cloning of animals that we only recently brought to extinction- That list is getting longer every actual minute as we speak.
And only when we do that succesful and on a routine basis, then let us look at species like the mammoth, T-Rex and our cousins the Neanderthals....

DanO this way, Alex brought home the message extra clear that this is one insane-brilliant artist at work...
I mean- If this dude was not mad yet only to come up with the idea to use zillions of staples to make his artwork, by now after stapling his work he must have gone stark raving bonkers all the way....

I like the Build It Yourself approach to that thing- This guy had a problem. And instead of buying the overly expensive Mattracks that won't even work all that well in the wet landscape where that guy lives, he builds something himself. And with some extra tinkering, that problem of extra wear of those u-joints can be solved soon enough.

This is a class-project. So they did it for school and it was mainly done just to prove that they could make a working model instead of only the umptenth virtual rendering. So it lacks a bit on the design. So it lacks a bit on the refinement. But they did it and it works. And they are a mechanical engineering class. Not a design-class.
So I take my hat off for these people. Neat!

He's one of the main developers of rowingbikes in the world. His bikes are quite powerful human powered bikes that do very well in both races and as commuter-bikes.
From his bikes to the Himancar with electrical assistance is just a small step.
