It was interesting to watch him trying to work out how to make the machine "go", I could see that he was having fun with it but it's a safety hazard for him.

Hmmm...when I look at the neutral expressions on the villagers' faces I can't help but wonder if it is solemnity or disappointment. I'd never have guessed this was a happy occasion if it wasn't for the chief saying so.

The author of the article refers to this group as a "cult". I wonder if that's because their beliefs are viewed as such by the rest of the population who follow another religion, or is it simply the personal opinion of a journalist spilling over into his writing?

I find the idea of someone having a fetish for quicksand to be completely baffling. The one experience I had with falling in something like that (up to my armpits) was very unpleasant and I didn't enjoy it at all. :-|

I hope it is sold on DVD sometime because the place closest to me where the film will be shown is about 4 hours away and I can't go see it.

Uh, yeah...the first time I went on one of those Get-Up-At-1am Black Friday shopping trips I really regretted not having a billy club and a full suit of riot gear. Incidentally, that also happened to be the LAST time I did the Black Friday thing.

I laughed myself into a coughing fit when I read Tian's reply saying those characters literally translated to "Cheap Whore"!

Oh yeah, I hear that! I was born and raised there. I guess that's probably why those clouds just made me think, "Time to get in the car!"

That must have been a hellacious storm. Too bad there was no video of it, but I guess I can understand why no one stayed out there to record it.

I'd try it, although I was a bit disappointed to see that it had mozzarella cheese sticks on it and not the chicken strips I thought they were before I read the description.
