note to self - start writing zombie steampunk screenplay to bug Tim, Ted and Foreigner.
People create wedding cakes these days to show their share of an interest in something. Something a little different than the standard stodgy bride and groom on the cake. I think it is nice that they also included their attendants on that cake.
I have always had a fascination in the scary horror stuff. I have always enjoyed Grimm's tales. For tales to exist there must be some kernel of truth. Actual "zombies" have existed in caribean islands. But these were not reanimated dead persons. But persons who were given a poison which made it appears as though they were dead. Someone took that idea and switched it up a bit, and then you eventually have the George Romero type zombies, which are reanimated corpses.
I am not sure where you get torture and sadism from reanimated corpses - but I'll just put that into my screenplay, and you can complain that I misquoted you when it is a movie.
The use of chainsaws in horror movies is an element of fear.
If someone were to come at you with a butter knife - you are not going to be to scared. But with a chainsaw - there is some chance you are going to jump.
And a chainsaw in a horror movie is not always a bad thing. Sometimes it is the weapon of the hero, to defend themselves.
I like zombies. (Call me a fruitcake) They are usually prevalent this time of year, because it is closer to Halloween. I like to be scared, and I like to do some scaring.
And not every movie coming out is zombie themed. You only notice one when it comes out, because no one is raving about that chick flick that you went to see last week.
People like to be scared. If people did not like to be scared, there would be no trinity of horror icons. No Frankenstein, Wolfman, or Dracula.
To each his own.

No - the Fiesta is no longer sponsored by Kodak. There are currently about 20 official sponsors. And then dozens of smaller individual balloon sponsors.

Oh I see. I do a cast of my face and recreate it in gelatin and it is boring and ho-hum. But If I were to do it in my own blood - then it becomes "art".

Wow - I was not aware that B.M. lived in Naruru.
According to the World Health Organization that is the country with the fatest and unhealthiest people.
A few of those flavors would be disgusting to a western palette. I liked Pepsi Blue.
I remember Pepsi had a flavor in the Philippines (circa late 70's) that was called Tutti-Fruitti.
It tasted much like Big Red.

I can see the Seth Rogan guy - but the chin is wrong. And the Seth Green guy's face and nose are to wide.
Wow - just wow. I wonder where those guys are now.
Wonder if Bon Jovi guy found his goddess?

I totally thought this was something that only my mother did.
I also believe that wearing the tea cozy on your head is a requirement.
All of those people are disqualified.

What rolls down stairs alone or in pairs
rolls over your neighbor's dog?
What's great for a snack and fits on your back?
It's Log, Log, Log!
It's Log, Log, it's big, it's heavy, it's wood.
It's Log, Log, it's better than bad, it's good!
Everyone wants a log! You're gonna love it, Log!
Come on and get your log! Everyone needs a Log!"

@ Foreginer - It would take a lengthy post to explain why I like to be scared. It is like going to a suspenseful movie. You know that the way a scene is unfolding, that something is about to happen. When it does, you get a jump. That little jump had a bit of adrenaline in it.
Even though you knew that the scary bit was coming - your brain disregarded it, yet you still jumped. So there is a little humor in it as well.
Being scared also tells me that my brain is still working, and that I still have emotion.
