You can see a similar exhibit in my moms attic. My sister and I had a small play table, growing up. Every year it would get a new coat of paint. every year my sister and myself would use sand paper stolen from dad's workbench to create fun designs.

I have the blueprints to make my own K9. I had gotten it when there was a Doctor Who tour in the early 90s.

so what happens when the paper has absorbed all it can, and it is dingy yellow gray in color?

I have actually seen one. It is in a friends old house. it is the model that is without the sink though.
