@ Ben:

Wales, Great Britain. Wild, in the tall grass near the B&B I was at. It was a slow worm, not one of these, so I'm not sure how many of the traits carry over. The only thing I know is the same is the eyelids. But as a slow worm is a legless lizard, and this is a legless lizard, and it's a fairly specific taxonomic group, I'd venture there's a lot of similarities between the two.

If you touch them, they actually feel very different than snakes. They're not nearly as flexible and you can actually feel their vestigial legs under their skin. Weird creatures, but if you see them side-by-side in person, it's pretty easy to tell them apart from snakes.

I think it was a british special...for some reason I've found a lot more british stuff with laugh tracks. Not sure if they really have a lot more of a laugh-track love or if I'm just looking at the wrong things...

Regarding the video, I loved how the St. Paul weather forecaster just picked up and went with it. I'm pretty sure I couldn't have done that!

If you have the guts, try the XXX mustard at the mustard museum. Gotta love a mustard that's not recommended for use by pregnant women and those with heart problems, and tells you to seek medical attention if you accidentally get it in your eyes ;)

Ah, the curiosities of a chameleon...so beautiful. In the wild, male panther chameleons stand out vibrantly or less vibrantly, depending on their mood, but they almost always stand out. I'm sure there are other species of chameleon like that too, but I only have experience with panthers. :P They're amazing creatures.

Sid- quite agreed. Small cars are really the only things that will work out in the countryside. When I went over there last, there was a traffic jam with a herd of cows. A bit surprising for us to see such a large herd of non-sheep creatures. The farmer evidently knew we were not from the area and asked us to kindly turn off our headlights because his cows for some reason get spooked by them. Interesting trip, really.
