Pfft. Jerse, there's a difference between de facto and de jure clothing regulation. You may get mocked for something you wear in the US, but, public decency laws aside, you can generally wear whatever you want.

I'm typically pretty liberal, but seriously: what kind of nutjob woman agrees to move to Saudi Arabia and put themselves through this? Why the hell would they marry anyone who required this of them?

My parents also warned me against doing that in case the window mechanism went weird and suddenly started closing the window again while I had a body part dangling out it.

Well, technically, smokers are a minority and unadulterated democracy (which we don't have) is all about that tyranny of the majority thing. If enough people voted against allowing it...besides, why is it a right to smoke but not to access any restaurant, etc as a smoke-free environment?

Anyway, too bad about the lungs on the jacket. I'm pretty sure the smokers who are the biggest assholes would easily dismiss this jacket just for that reason.

Ha. It doesn't say "all new materials," it says "all new material" -- material singular. So used textiles, together forming a new fabric, are still in the running!
