I checked my sources, and found out that this is only known form the memoir of one of the inventigators of the Haarmann case, which became public around 1960. This information is not from the official case file. .

I remember that i heared it in an interview with the leading actor of the movie "Deathmaker" in the radio. Unformtunately i was not albe to chane the initial post to indicate that this was claimed by an inventigator of the case. mea cupla.

This reminds me of the "Fritz Haarmann" serial killer case. Haarmann has been chained to his cell. The police placed illuminated skulls with red paper placed in their orbits and a bag of bones of his victims in the cell. The police told him the souls of his victims would come and get him if he won't confess, which finaly caused superstitious Haarmann to confess...

Presumably the main effect would be a significant increase in suicides.... with a lifespan of 1000000 jears, religion would shurely be extinct after a few thousand years. Contracepion would be one of the most important things. Family reunions would be pure hell. Evolution would be just stopped... statute-barred prosecution would hve to be limited to at least 300000 years. Life sentence would be worse that the death penalty... That is, in have a not too optimistic view on this scenario. Near eternal life spans would suck, and the time required to evolve a human species capable of coping with a 1000000 year lifetime would surely exceed the time the expanding sun will need to expand beyond the earth orbit...

You may be in a park, but it may be a relative small park in a high population density, which means that there may be no place "behind" a tree. Highly populated areas have another Eddect: assuming the expected frequency of "behind tree action" and combine it with the expected lifespan of feces, you may arrive at an amount of feces that prevent you from even considering a visit of the park. Big cities, small parks and lots of bowel movement require public toilets.

Very nice idea. I would not hesitate to use it. Just a sinlge question is bothering me: is the fully transparent state or the opaque state of the glass the one that requires electical power? I just wonder as in case of a power failure will your on ceramic action be visible or will you be covered in opaquness?

It sounds like a nice amusement or thrill for the people that are actually wating till a train has passed... It is a nice try, but it won't work.... In case you are in a hurry or suffer from a light impacientness, you won't stop and stay to watch the near misses. And even if such a person sees some of them, he will come to the conclusion that everyone got away unharmed... I suppose impacient or people in a hurry won't take the time to watch the videos of the QR-codes. People crossing rails in front of approaching trains don't caclulate the odds and prices, just like people smoking and playing the lottery.

It must be the elephant, as elephants have bigger heads. and are also the larger animal, it would easily be possible for an Elephant head to cover a bull's head, while it would be much more difficlult for a bull to coer an elephant't head... ;-) But the illusion is quite nice, showing that the beholder tends to see what he wants to see! I think the artist had much fun developing this illusion.
