Exactly my thought. Looking it up, the artist recommending it lives in South Carolina (Charleston) - known to have reasonable sun levels and heat according to my quick google. Hopefully she only does it with art I consider sacrificable.

Maybe holds the record of holding the most, most contrived records? Mind you STEM is good so maybe I will let him off lightly? I also note the two most recent stories there place him in both Iowa and Idaho. Maybe he moves around a lot? (The third and fourth both too show Idaho tho fo' sho')

People should be aware that shoes with no instep support can wreck your feet though. Especially unsuited to the flat footed - who need solid arches to shape/support the feet or can regret it (back and foot problems later in life).

They serve part of the same function but only a very limited part (like any coffee machine). And also produce terrible coffee in my experience. Maybe I am being as biased against it as I think others are against instant (though I have visited the US and had what I was told is "good" drip filter coffee, and have tried them here also), but they seem a poor compromise: doing only part of the job and doing that part badly ).

Wow! "Second World" as a term used in the original context! For those unaware, despite what it has come to mean now, "first world" originally meant "the USA and its allies in the cold war", second world Russia and allies and third world was neutrals. So Switzerland for example is technically a third world nation!

The way the zodiac "works" always bothered me... draw a line from the Earth through the Sun and see what is on the other side? Shouldn't that be the constellation that is least able to influence us? With the Sun being in the way and all? It's not like the Sun is some magical lens .. oh wait, it's all magical thinking from a time before properly applied science anyhow. Nvm

That headrest one is kind of cool.. but is it really the best solution for the "I am holding a device with metal bits poking out and need to break a window" problem? Just poking the window with the metal bits will break the window just as well and safely and the glass will end up more outside the car. And the car door will be reusable afterwards.

I often think to myself "I wish there was a shelving solution that used vastly more wood than other methods, was impractical at actually storing things on and was asthetically fairly unappealing". All that work for one small patch of short book storage. Kind of the "I don't really read but having books looks good" solution. Like having colour matched books. Which they also do in this photo.

How ironic... [shares picture of herself as advice on preventing people sharing pictures of you then watches it spread about the internet]. Sure hope she was ok with that... :)
