When I first saw the video on CNN, I screamed "No! No! No! No!" It could have been "Non! Non! Non! Non!" Though I am no Catholic, I appreciate the cathedral's beauty, as well as its place in culture and history. The fire was a tragedy for the entire world. At least the stonework, as well as important art and artifacts, are safe.

That cat probably enjoyed the massage he/she was getting from the keys. Clearly, the music didn't bother the critter.

Eating meat, the "war" on drugs, Facebook - yes, we can do without them. But the only way abortion will be eliminated is if we have much better birth control, and ways to make sure fetuses don't develop unsurvivable deformities. It is estimated that one in three pregnancies ends in a miscarriage, many so early that the woman assumes it's just a heavy period. Comparing embryos to blacks, Jews, etc. is not comparing apples to oranges, it's comparing apples to flank steaks.

The answer is rather surprising, but makes sense when you think about it. I won't spoil anybody's fun, though.

If you had a vehicle like this, you could travel anywhere - no need for a hotel, or motel, or AirBnB. The drawback, not a whole bunch of room; but some folks like that.

I know my cats recognize their names! They always perk up when I say them. And each knows her name - she doesn't react the same way to the other cat's name.

I use AirBNB from time to time, but before I make a reservation I check the lessor's reputation, which counts for more than a good price. So far I haven't had any problems [knock on wood].

Whenever and wherever there is oppression, there will be resistance - and escape. No government can plug all the holes, and when one hole is plugged, another will open.

This is why we need to keep humans in the loop. Under many circumstances, I prefer dealing with a fellow human being rather than some ice-cold machine.
