A Few Sentiments on Notre Dame

For the rest of the world, the Notre Dame fire is a big tragedy, as a piece of history had crumbled and fallen. People regarded it as a cultural symbol but it also formed part of the French identity.

Within the city of Paris however, the burning of Notre Dame goes deeper into its roots and may reveal a certain malaise that is sweeping through the veins of France. Chris Knapp gives us a more intimate perspective of the recent event and the implications it has on the French and the world.

In fact Notre Dame Basilica from my beautiful hometown Montreal. Gorgeous cathedral and I highly recommend Aura Basilica, a light-show event that is perfect for tourists wanting to see the space in fun way.

When I first saw the video on CNN, I screamed "No! No! No! No!" It could have been "Non! Non! Non! Non!" Though I am no Catholic, I appreciate the cathedral's beauty, as well as its place in culture and history. The fire was a tragedy for the entire world. At least the stonework, as well as important art and artifacts, are safe.
