I read elsewhere that the 'issue' is even worse than this. Apparently the 'banks' are issuing eviction notices w/o checking who they're evicting. Apparently not just anyone can be evicted under the law. However, they rely on the Sheriff to work out who can and can't be which means he is doing bank work for free.

Perhaps a yanqui of Chicago persuasion can word us up on that.

On a different note. I had not heard of a divide on US/UK spelling on “meow”/“miaow” so I did a quick search and apparently it can be spelt many ways eg miaow, miaou, miaul, mew which are all accepted English and not necessarily country based.

I don't know but I think 'miaow' is more common in Oz. However the question is...how does everyone pronounce it?
