Magazine print is closer to 2,400 dpi.
I think what you’re thinking of is using a 300 dpi image to print at a 150 lpi line screen. The resolution of the imagesetter that’s producing the film/plate is much higher.

I'd think the sideways pressure would get tiring.
Considering how reports of unintended acceleration ramp up sharply with age, I'd think this would provoke a rash of rear-end collisions with the victims citing "unintended braking."
