The British Museum owns a baked clay tablet from the Mesopotamian city of Ur. It is a complaint about a delivery of copper. The response time may be a bit long.

The BBC and the British Museum had a radio series called "A History of the World in 100 Objects" that may be of interest. One of the cuneiform tablets is featured: an invoice for beer allocations to a gang of workers, I think.
