Artist Reimagines Characters From Super Smash Bros. 4 In Mayan Style

Artists are constantly reimagining pop culture characters in Asian (mostly Japanese) art styles, but there's a great big world full of other styles out there which are constantly being overlooked.

That's why these Mayan art inspired versions of Super Smash Bros. 4 characters by Tucson-based artist Sita Nava are a breath of fresh air, standing out in a sea of ninjas and samurai.

The characters, and their powers, are still easy to identify in the Mayan glyph style, and Sita's inclusion of traditional Mayan fashion and symbols complete each character's Mesoamerican transformation.
