The Museum Dedicated to Alligators

Atlas Obscura informs us that a museum focused on alligators exists. Where is it? You guessed correctly: New Orleans.

This small facility in a touristy area of New Orleans features a 14-foot long stuffed gator named Fideaux (like 'Fido', get it?) and a wide variety of alligator-themed memorabilia in five rooms, including pre-Columbian art showing alligators, fossilized alligator remains, and artwork inspired by our favorite swamp creature.

There's a lot of merchandise for sale, as well as alligator jerky and skulls from Louisiana's own alligator farms. And although it's a little late for Valentine's Day this year, it's not too late to pick up a gator skull for next year's romantic day.
