Pizza Delivery Man Trips Suspect Fleeing from Police

Pizza delivery drivers are humble heroes who do more than merely provide us with delicious pizzas. They can save customers'  lives and rescue children from burning buildings. Tyler Morrell of Cocco's Pizza Aston of Brookhaven, Pennsylvania fits perfectly into that mold.

Yahoo! News reports that on Sunday, Morrell was delivering a pizza when police chased down a suspect who fled his car on foot through a residential neighborhood. Morrell tripped him, sending the suspect down to the ground, where police restrained him within seconds.

What's even more impressive is that Morrell did this without dropping the pizza! He fulfilled both duties of the pizza delivery guy: bringing pizza and taking down criminals.

I'm glad that you posted it. Not complaining. I just noticed my internal process and described it. /My/ general rule is, if I'm afraid to post something because someone might misunderstand and be mad at me, I'm posting it, over-explaining like Tilly in early Star Trek Discovery, and the hell with them.

Yeah, I get that. I was on the fence about posting this for the reasons that you describe, but decided to proceed.

My general rule is, though, "When in doubt, don't post it."

I thought this was funny until the newspeople were gleeful about it, and then it changed for me. What if the man was running from police because he was terrified they were going to kill him? What happened before this? Why were they chasing him in the first place? Even the linked news article doesn't say. He's a suspect, but of what?
Also, for my part, as someone who has been tripped, ow.
