A Clever Trap for Aquariums

The design is simple but ingenious. The bubble trap by Tank Matez is held in place with a magnet on the other side of the glass. When the fish swims into the baited bubble, pull the magnet away from the glass. This releases the bubble to float to the top. It's designed to right itself so that the fish cannot simply swim away.

There's even a remote system that will automatically trap a fish, so you can leave the trap in place and come back later, once your fish is captured.

I wouldn’t encourage others to mind there own business. It’s everyone’s business, we are all linked. I just don’t want anyone to harm ocean living beings. Thinking of some people taking that thing to ocean and catch species that they are not familiar with and putting in aquarium just because “it’s so adorable and eye catching to any visitor” without even considering if it will get along with other species. There are people who think like that. I even once myself was just on visit, saw how dirty the aquarium was that ended up with me cleaning it up..like wtf and that person just” oh I didn’t have time” and I have many examples... And when it comes to aquariums and fish breeding, corals get damage from start for us to have fish in aquariums! The irony...aquariums should be taken more seriously and for that catch design also...Because we can all agree that ocean beings are extraordinarily and interesting living beings and from my point of view the only one that know what is best for them is modern nature and we can’t compare to her just that we can do our best...and like I said people like Paul I believe doing it’s best..

Fuck yeah Paul! Got'em! Vejas. You should of just took what Paul said as a lesson to know when to keep your mouth shut and mind your fucking business, but no you had to reply. I feel dumber for reading your 2nd reply. The one thing that Paul didn't mention about the video. Trying to net a fish in an aquarium with a net is very stressful on the fish. This ingenious invention makes it less stressful for the fish and in the long run less harmful.

Thank you dkglitch82 and thank you Paul for taking time to respond! I agree with you Paul and I do believe in you! I was limiting myself of anger and yes I don’t know any who use aquariums for good purpose! When I wrote sick fucks it’s actually how I talk in anger and also at that point thinking of how many I known who didn't care and just had for there own purpose and pleasure, wasn’t even interested in learning anything about them or even care! Just that with time have less and less fish and just keeping those who where “easy” to take care of. Did I question them? I did! So my response about aquariums was based on feelings based on collection of memories and experience! I do think aquariums is not for everyone and I will question whoever thinks to get one, like with any other animals. And when it comes to that catch design something about it triggers me so damn much to think that everyone could have access to it....No! I see too many bad outcomes of it just ofc I also see it in reasonable use just only if it’s limited! I understand it’s use in right hands and right purpose just not for everyone to use that one! I hope I won’t see it in future in any damn toy section!

Some fish keepers do an amazing job in looking after their fish. They often times will live longer in their aquarium then they would if they lived in the wild. Also many fish are bred in captivity for the purposes of the hobby. I think people need to be more educated on how to keep fish successfully, but I think the hobby is what peaks people interest to learn more about marine biology.
